Melba Jane Kuhn Yates , 71, of Oak Hill, WV died on Saturday, July 05, 2014 at Bowers Hospice House in Beckley, WV. Born June 25, 1943 at Minden, WV she was the daughter of the late Ralph and Dorcas Williams Kuhn. She was an Accounting Technician for the Beckley Correctional Center. Mrs. Yates was a member of the Rock Lick Freewill Baptist Church. Her husband, Charles Yates and sister, Ramona Lipka preceded her in death. Survivors include one son, Charles Yates and wife, Aimee of Beckley; two daughters, Karen Gilkey and husband, Sonny of Oak Hill and Cindy Bratcher and husband, Mike of Roanoke, VA; seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Funeral services will be on Wednesday, July 9, 2014 at 2:00 P.M. at Tyree Funeral Home in Oak Hill with Rev. Jerry Sears officiating. Burial will be at Gethsemane Memorial Gardens, Oak Hill. Friends may call one hour prior to the service on Wednesday. Friends and family will serve as pallbearers.
