Melanie Rae Skeldon

Melanie Rae Doris Skeldon, 70, of Scarbro passed away on Sunday, September 24, 2023 at Plateau Medical Center in Oak Hill.

Born October 26, 1952 in Oak Hill, WV she was the daughter of the late Alexander "Bill" and Jean Bibb Doris.

Melanie worked for the Fayette County Board of Education as a hearing and speech therapist. She was a member of the First Brethren Church in Oak Hill, she enjoyed spending time with her cats and her family.

Those left to cherish her memory include her loving husband, Mark Skeldon; daughter, Jill Bowyer; son Brett Bowyer; and sister, Lisa Hinte.

Funeral service will be 10AM on Friday, September 29, 2023 at Tyree Funeral Home in Oak Hill with Pastor Mike Meadows and Reverend Ron Lilly officiating. Burial will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens in Beckley.

Visitation for friends will be one hour prior to service at the funeral home in Oak Hill.
