Maxine Thomas Sydnor

Maxine Thomas Sydnor, age 83, of Oak Hill, WV passed away on Saturday, June 12, 2010 at Bowers Hospice House in Beckley, WV. Born August 23, 1926, at Marytown, McDowell, County, WV, she was the daughter of the late Williams and Nannie Gilliam Thomas. Maxine was last employed by COMAC Bakery and was a long time employee of the former White Oak Drug in Oak Hill. She was a member of the First Church of God of Fayetteville and formerly attended the Jones Avenue Church of God in Oak Hill In addition to her parents, William and Nannie Gilliam Thomas, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Ralph "Sid" Sydnor and a brother, Ralph "R. T." Thomas. Surviving is her son, Richard Ralph "Pud" Sydnor of Oak Hill. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 15, 2010 at the Tyree Funeral Home Chapel, Oak Hill with Rev. Russell Hays officiating. Burial will follow in Gethsemane Memorial Gardens, Pea Ridge Road, Oak Hill. Friends may call at the funeral home, one hour prior to services on Tuesday.
