Maxine J. Atha

Maxine "Maxie" Jane Collins Atha, 73, of Colcord, WV died on Sunday, April 12, 2009 at Raleigh General Hospital in Beckley, WV. Born April 18, 1935 at Workman's Creek, WV she was the daughter of the late Emmet and Gracie Summer Collins. Mrs. Atha was a homemaker. Her husband, Quiency Atha; a grandson, Steven Atha; two sisters, Gertie Beverly and Dellarene Collins and three brothers, Clareance Collins, Tracy Collins and Lonnie Gene Collins preceded her in death. Survivors include two sons, Dale Atha and wife, Teresa of Beckley and Randall Atha and wife, Clara of Clear Creek; one daughter, Patsy Bennett and husband, Larry of Hildebran, NC; four grandchildren, Michael Bennett, Nickolas Atha, Darlene Atha and Dale Atha; two sister, Flossie Daniels and Wanda Stallings both of Ohio and her comapnion, James B. Allen of Colcord. Graveside rites and committal services will be on Wednesday, April 15, 2009 at 2:00 P.M. at Workman's Creek Cemetery in Workman's Creek with Rev. Alex Terry officiating.
