Mauro Maminta, M.D.

Mauro Uson Maminta M.D., 73, of Oak Hill, WV died on Monday, October 06, 2003 at CAMC - Memorial Division in Charleston, WV following a long illness. Born June 18, 1930 in Manila, Philippines he was the son of the late Teodoro and Apolonia Uson Maminta. Dr. Maminta was a retired Medical Physician. He was a member of the SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Oak Hill, former President and member of the Fayette County Medical Society; member of the Philippine Medical Association; Philippine Medical Association of West Virginia; American Acadamy of Family Physicians; WV Acadamy of Family Physicians; Civitan Club; University of Santo Thomas Medical Alumni Association; Manila Medical Society; Philippine Medical Association of Chicago. Dr. Maminta was a reserve officer for the Armed Forces of the Philippines. He was preceded in death by brothers and sisters, Florentina Cardenas, Feliciano, Ingracia, Teodoro, Jr., Modesto and Alfredo Maminta. Survivors include his wife, Ann Esguerra Maminta Sons: Manolo Maminta and wife, Bernadette of Oak Hill Marlon Maminta and wife, Melina of Oak Hill Sisters and Brothers: Virginia Gonzales of the Philippines Bernardo Maminta of the Philippines Carazon Layson of the Philippines Natividad Ramos of Saipan, Guam Antonio Maminta of the Philippines Olivia Lopez of the Philippines grandchildren: Madison, Marianne, Malorie, Mauro Miguel and Manuel Maminta Visitation will be held at Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hill on Friday from 6:00 - 8:00 pm Rosary will be held at 8:00 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be on October 11, 2003 at 11:00 A.M. at SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Oak Hill with Father John P. McDonough officiating. Burial will be at High Lawn Memorial Park, Oak Hill WV.
