Maurice "M.K." Carden

Maurice "M.K." Keith Carden, 80, of Oak Hill, WV died on Sunday, September 19, 2004 at Veterans Administration Hospital in Beckley, WV following a long illness. Born August 19, 1924 at Scarbro, WV he was the son of the late Clint and Lillian Simmers Carden. He was a retired building contrator. Mr. Carden attended the Jones Avenue First Church of God, Oak Hill, WV and was a member of the U.S.S. Ingraham Reunion; Knights of Pythias and American Legion, LaFayette Post No. 149, Fayetteville. He was a US Navy veteran of World War II. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Stella Saplak Carden. Survivors include his wife, Kate Morgan Carden; son, Larry Carden of Pineville, NC and by 2 grandchildren. Visitation will be held at Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hill on Wednesday, September 22, 2004 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am. Services will be on Wednesday, September 22, 2004, at 11:00 am at Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hill with Rev. Ralph Shupe and Rev. Tonya Shupe officiating. Burial will be at High Lawn Memorial Park, Oak Hill WV.
