Maurel E. Lively Sheets

Maurel E. Lively Sheets, age 72, of Akron, OH passed away in the company of her family on Wednesday, November 19, 2008. Born on March 23, 1936 in Kingston, West Virginia she was the daughter of the late Daniel Webster and Stella Estell Coleman Lively. Mrs. Sheets lived at Dothan and attended Collins High School in Oak Hill. Upon graduation in 1954, she moved to Akron, OH and married Jim Sheets on November 17, 1956 in Angola, Indiana. Maurel was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family. In additional to her parents she was preceded by brothers, Erskine, Melvin, and Andrew (Dorothy); sister, Judy Lane (Tom)Sprouse. She is survived by her loving husband of 52 years, Jim; children, Gary (Donna) Sheets, Larry Sheets, and Lori Sheets (Jim Cross); grandchildren, Katie and Joshua Sheets, Rachel and Alex Cross; brothers and sister, Roy Lee (Margaret) Lively, June Richmond, Roma (Judy) Lively, Dr. Darrell (Delores) Lively, Lowell (Pat) Lively; sister-in-law, Frances Lively; along with many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Monday, November 24, 2008 10:00 a.m. at the Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home, 547 Canton Road, Akron, with Dr. Darrell Lively officiating. Burial at Northlawn Memorial Gardens.
