Mary O. Yoney Shrewsberry

Mary O. Shrewsberry, 52, of Scarbro, WV passed away Thursday, September 8, 2011 from injuries sustained in a vehicle accident. She was born October 3, 1958 in Oak Hill, WV the daughter of the late Rena Opal Wriston and Frank Yoney. She attended the New River Baptist Church and was a 1976 graduate of Collins High School in Oak Hill. A son, Jerry Lee Shrewsberry, Jr., and siblings Toney Yoney and Charlotte Yoney preceded her in death. Those left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of 35 years Jerry "Jake" Shrewsberry of Scarbro, and daughter Andria White and husband, David of Fayetteville, daughter Jessica Williams and husband, J.R. of Clear Creek, son Daniel Shrewsberry and wife, Leah of Westover, daughter Amanda Shrewsberry and companion, David McGraw of Scarbro and her grandchildren that she loved so very dearly: Justin White, Katlyn White, Madilyn Williams, Jacob Williams,Krista Shrewsberry,and Danielle Shrewsberry. Also surviving are her Mother-in-law Aline Shrewsberry of Fayetteville, brother Bobby Yoney of Vass Branch, sister Brenda Elswick of Mt. Hope, sister Rosetta Yoney of Mossy, and sister Peggy Pauley of Bruce, Wiscinsin, and extended family Joseph Gill and family of Hilltop. Mary enjoyed gardening, fishing, and spending time with her children and grandchildren. Mary enjoyed most being a wife, mother and grandmother. Visitation will be from 6:00 until 8:00 PM, Monday, September 12, 2011 at Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hill. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, September 13, 2011, at Tyree Funeral Home in Oak Hill with Pastor James Perkins officiating.
