Mary Josephine Turpin Blankenship

Mary Josephine Turpin Blankenship , 78, of Beckley, WV formerly of Oak Hill, WV died on Wednesday, February 20, 2013 at Raleigh General Hospital in Beckley, WV. Born July 23, 1934 at Carswell Hollow, WV she was the daughter of the late Elmer N. Bromfield and Gay Delphia Turpin Johnson. Mary had been a 14 year resident of Oak Hill. She was a homemaker and a former member of the Living Word Church, Mossy. She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Eugene Blankenship. Survivors include one son, Eugene K. Blankenship of Beckley and two sisters, Pam Souders of Circleville, OH and Harriet Cramer of Circleville, OH. She is also survived by four grandchildren, Melanie Whelan, Crystal Gray, Teagen Nicole Blankenship and Kennedy Erika Blankenship and two great grandchildren, Addy Gray and William Joseph Whelan. Funeral services will be on Friday, February 22, 2013 at 11:00 P.M. at the Living Word Church in Mossy with Pastor Paul Basham officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to the service on Friday at the church. Committal and entombment will then be at 1:30 PM at Roselawn Memorial Gardens Mausoleum in Princeton. Mike Anderson, Dean Dix, Jared Gray, Ted Martin, Eugene K, Blankenship and Ben Whelan will serve as pallbearers.
