With her husband and children by her side, Mary Elizabeth "Susie" Clark Showalter , 61, of Beckley, WV went home to be with her Lord on Monday, September 13, 2010 at UVA Medical Center in Charlottesville, VA. Born September 21, 1948 at Lashmeet, WV she was the daughter of the late David and Arlie Graham Clark. Mrs. Showalter, affectionately known as "Susie", was a devoted mother, wife, and friend. She was a member of the United Methodist Temple in Beckley. She was an avid collector of Longaberger baskets and a member of the P. Buckley Moss Society. She was employed by Bucyrus, International. Susie was looking forward to becoming a grandmother in the fall to a baby girl who will bear her name. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers Charles Fredrick Clark and Danny "Red" Clark. Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Richard L. "Dick" Showalter, her son, Brian Showalter and wife, Sarah Blake Showalter of Beckley; her daughter, Kelly Showalter and husband Chris Hollandsworth of Lewisburg, three brothers, Gene Clark and wife, Mira of Princeton, Dennis Clark and wife, Sarah of Morgantown and Johnny Clark and wife, Anita of Princeton and a host of family and friends. Services will be on Saturday, September 18, 2010 at 12:00 P.M. at Tyree Funeral Home in Oak Hill with Rev. Ralph Calfee officiating. Burial will be at Gethsemane Memorial Gardens in Oak Hill. Friends may call from 11:00 AM until service time on Saturday at the funeral home. Nephews Michael Clark, Aaron Clark, Brent Clark and Justin Clark will serve as pallbearers along with James Blake and Jay Blake. In lieu of flowers donations of sympathy made be made to the Jimmy V.
