Mary Lou Sneed

Mary Lou Mann Sneed, 82, of Oak Hill, WV died on Sunday, December 13, 2009 at Bowers Hospice House in Beckley, WV. Born July 22, 1927 at Fayette County, WV she was the daughter of the late Fred and Mabel Clara Toombs Mann. During her working years, Mary Lou was employed by F.W. Woolworth, as a dental assistant for Dr. James Shelton and as an assistant for Dr. Walter Kominsky. Her husband, Roy Lee Sneed; brothers, Fred and Robert and three stepsisters, Gladys, Katherine and Glenna preceded her in death. Survivors include two daughters, Sue Staples and husband, Bill of Oak Hill and Sandy Radford and companion, Paul Sutton of Oak Hill. Also surviving as four grandchildren, Mike Staples and wife, Beth, Stacy Staples Floyd and husband, John, Kelly Protka and husband, Josh and Shannon Blevins and fiancée' Matt Blake and six great grandchildren, Dylan, Chloe, Cody, Erin, Jacob and Caleb. Graveside rites and committal services will be on Wednesday, December 16, 2009 at 2:00 P.M. at High Lawn Memorial Park in Oak Hill with Rev. Pete Lokant officiating. Burial will follow. There will be no visitation. Those wishing to attend should meet at Tyree Funeral Home in Oak Hill by 1:30 PM.
