Mary Catherine Sears

Mary Catherine Bragg Sears,60, of Crooked Run Road, Fayetteville, formerly of Glen Jean, died Sunday, September 12, 2004 at Raleigh General Hospital in Beckley after a long illness. Born August 8, 1944 at Glen Jean, WV she was the daughter of the late Arlie S. and Margaret Muir Bragg. She was a retired secretary for Allied Chemical and a homemaker. Mary was a a member of the Liberty Baptist Church in Hopewell, VA where she served as chairman of the hostess committee. She also attended Grace Baptist Church in Oak Hill. Mrs. Sears was preceded in death by one brother, David Bragg and one sister, Carol Bragg Covington. Survivors include her husband, Vernon W. Sears; a very special nephew, Chad Bosserman of Hopewell, VA, three brothers, Arlie S. Bragg, Jr. and wife, Barbara of Indianapolis, IN, Harold D. Bragg and wife, Elsa of Glen Jean, William R. Bragg of Cleveland, OH, one sister, Patricia A. Manuel and husband, Phillip of Indianapolis, IN, special relative, Joann Bragg of Nashville, TN, also a host of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Wednesday, September 15, 2004 at Tyree Funeral Home Chapel in Oak Hill with Rev. Houston Boothe officiating. Burial will be in High Lawn Memorial Park, Oak Hill. Friends may call from 6:00 until 9:00 PM Tuesday evening, September 14, 2004 at Tyree Funeral Home in Oak Hill. Pallbearers will be Eddie Campbell, Keith Campbell, Basil Campbell, Mike Bragg, Phillip Manuel and Hank Bodendorf.
