Mary Joellen Preston

Mary Joellen Craft Preston, 73, of Oak Hill, WV died on Monday, October 23, 2006 at Hidden Valley Nursing and Rehab Center in Oak Hill, WV. Born July 21, 1933 at Neon, KY she was the daughter of the late Thomas D. and Gladys Harris Craft. Mrs. Preston was a former school teacher in Neon, KY and Marion, IL. She was of the Methodist faith. Mary Jo attended Union College in Barboursville, KY. She was a member of the White Oak Country Club in Oak Hill and an active volunteer for the Fayette County Chamber of Commerce. Survivors include her husband of 54 years, William "Bill" Preston, Sr.; one son, William C. Preston, Jr. and wife, Jan, of Fort Worth, TX; one daughter, Jane Jayne and husband, Bill of Dove Canyon, CA; one brother, Dick Craft and wife, Dorothy of Madison, IN; sister-in-law, Freda Preston of Lexington, KY; three grandchildren, Will Jayne, Christopher Jayne and Kent Preston and his mother, Robin Preston. She is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. Visitation will be held at Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hill on Tuesday, October 24, 2006 from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM. Services will be on Wednesday, October 25, 2006 at 11:00 A.M. at Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hill with Rev. William Slates officiating. Burial will be at High Lawn Memorial Park, Oak Hill WV. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Huntington's Disease Society of America, 505 Eight Avenue, Suite 902, New York, NY 10018.
