Mary Jane Murray

Mary Jane Dent Murray, 83, of Kincaid passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 1, 2024 at her residence with her daughter by her side.

Born February 14, 1941 in Carbondale, WV she was the daughter of the late Oather and Lyda Canterbury Dent.

Mary was a homemaker and in her leisure she enjoyed writing poetry and songs with her daughter, they also taught and sang songs to different nursing homes around Oak Hill. She loved spending time outdoors and working on her yard, was a wonderful cook, great at making crafts and clothes, and loved to crochet. She love the Lord with all of er heart and loved spending time with her family.

Along with her parents she is preceded in death by husband, James Murray;  6 brothers, James Dent, Cecil Dent, Benjamin Dent, Ray Dent, Harvey Dent, and David Dent.

Those left to cherish her wonderful memory include her loving daughter, Tammy Haskett; 2 brothers, Paul Dent and James (Bubby) Dent. and a sister, Elizabeth Hambrick.

Graveside Rites with burial to follow will be 1:00 PM on Saturday, May 4, 2024 at Gethsemane Memorial Gardens in Oak Hill, WV.
