Mary M. Mahood

Mary M. Donnelly Mahood , 87, of Oak Hill, WV died on Sunday, November 23, 2008 at Hilltop Center in Hilltop, WV. Born January 12, 1921 at Berwind, WV she was the daughter of the late William J. and Margaret Hughes Donnelly. Mrs. Mahood was an active member of the Sts Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Oak Hill and a homemaker. Her husband of 62 years, Charles Francis Mahood preceded her in death on September 23, 2008. She was also preceded by four brothers, Robert, Daniel, Edward and William Donnelly and four sisters, Elizabeth Donnelly, Josephine Delridge, Ann Peters and Margaret Putrino. Survivors include her son, Charles Mahood and wife, Jean of Greenwich, Conn.; one sister, Patricia DuPra and husband, E. William of New Milford, Conn; two grandchildren, Taya Mahood and Alyse Mahood both of Greenwich; god daughter, Lynda Wigglesworth of Bridgeport, Conn. and by numerous nieces and nephews. Mass of Christian Burial will be on Wednesday, November 26, 2008 at 10:00 A.M. at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Oak Hill with Father Paul Yuenger officiating. Entombment will be at High Lawn Memorial Park Mausoleum in Oak Hill. Visitation will be held at Tyree Funeral Home in Oak Hill on Tuesday, November 25, 2008 from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM with Rosary at 6:00 PM. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, 129 Elmore Street, Oak Hill WV 25901.
