Mary K. "Kitty" Danner

Mary Katherine "Kitty" Patteson Danner, 89, of Mount Hope, WV died on Tuesday, November 15, 2005 at Raleigh General Hospital in Beckley, WV after a short illness. Born in Mount Hope, WV on November 13, 1916 she was the daughter of the late Alexander M. and Virgie Lee Groves Patteson. Mrs. Danner was a retired Fayette County school teacher having taught at Mount Hope Junior High School. Kitty was a member of the Mount Hope United Methodist where she had served as an officer and organist. She has recently been attending the Mount Hope Presbyterian Church. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Henry L. Danner, Sr.; two brothers, William A. Patteson and Russell G. Patteson. Survivors include a son, Henry L. (Danny) Danner, Jr. and wife, Iva K. of Hurricane; a grandson, David H. Danner and wife, Jennifer L. of Columbus, Ohio; and two nieces, Patti Patteson Bair of Wilmington, North Carolina and Susie Patteson Tysowsky of West Chester, Pennsylvania. Service will be 1:00 P. M. Saturday at Tyree Funeral Home Chapel, Mount Hope with the Rev. Jerry Cook officiating. Burial will follow in High Lawn Memorial Park, Oak Hill. Friends may call from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Friday at the funeral home.
