Mary Ella Kessler

Mary Ella Boothe Kessler, 89, of Cocoa, FL formerly of Beckley, WV died Monday, September 25, 2006 at the Health Center of Merritt Island, FL. Born in Oak Hill, WV on October 1, 1916 she was the daughter of the late Edgar L. and Mary Martha Blake Boothe. Mary was a retired registered nurse having worked for 46 years at several local hospitals including Raleigh General Hospital and some area doctors including Dr. Starr. She was a member of the Clearlake Baptist Church. She loved music and had played piano since a child, often play for the entertainment of friends and for church. Her husband, Sam Kessler and three sisters, Frances Harrell, Mildred Smith and Martha Kate VanHorn preceded her in death. She is survived by a daughter, Sally Johnson and her husband, William of Valdosta, GA; son, Samuel B. Kessler and his wife, Gloria of Cocoa, FL; sister, Anna Lou Holt of Oak Hill, WV; grandchildren, Willa Branham, Douglas and Jeffrey Johnson and Gary and Randy Kessler; nine great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren. Visitation will be 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM on Friday, September 29, 2006 at Brevard Memorial Funeral Home, 5475 N. US Highway 1, Cocoa, FL with the funeral service to follow at 11:00 AM. Entombment will be at the Brevard Memorial Park Mausoleum.
