Dr. Mary Kathleen Lafferty Coll , 45, of Fayetteville, WV died on Wednesday, January 07, 2015 at CAMC - General Division in Charleston, WV.
Born March 08, 1969 at Beckley, WV she was the daughter of the late Billie B. and Mary Ellen Hicks Lafferty.
While attending Mount Hope Middle School, Mary excelled in West Virginia History and was a 1983 Golden Horseshoe Winner.
Dr. Coll graduated from Mountain State University and was a 2004 graduate of the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine. She was a veteran of the US Air Force attaining the rank of Major.
She enjoyed reading and painting, was an avid crocheter and loved animals.
Survivors include her husband, John Joseph Coll; two daughters, Lorraine Lafferty of Omaha, NE and Kendra Lafferty of Ashland, VA; sister, Debra Pritt of Scarbro and a granddaughter, Kali Lafferty of Omaha, NE.
Funeral services will be on Saturday, January 17, 2015 at 2:00 P.M. at Tyree Funeral Home in Mount Hope with Pastor Jim Bowyer officiating. Burial will be at Willis Branch Cemetery, Pax. Friends may call one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the funeral home.
Because of her love of animals and using her crochet skills, Mary would make mats for cats and take them to the animal shelter. In lieu of flowers and in her memory the family requests memorial contributions be made to the New River Humane Society, PO Box 955, Fayetteville WV 25840.
