Mary Carter Hubacher

Mary Elizabeth Carter Hubacher, 91, of Oak Hill, WV died on Monday, December 27, 2004 at Plateau Medical Center in Oak Hill, WV. Born October 08, 1913 at Prudence, WV she was the daughter of the late Eugene P. and Mary Catherine "Annie" McCutcheon Carter. She was a homemaker and former employee of Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hill. Mrs. Hubacher was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church, Oak Hill, WV, where she taught Sunday school and Bible school, belonged to the Women's Circle and sang in the choir for many years. She was a member of the Oak Hill Homemakers Club and TV Lanes Senior Citizens Bowling league from 1983 to 1986. Mary was very fondly remembered by members of the Oak Hill Church of the Nazarene. She was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd Samuel Hubacher on November 10, 1961. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family having been preceded in death by brothers, Richard Thomas, Eugene and Newton Carter and a sister, Alma Carter. Survivors include daughter, Mary Ellen Kincaid of Alexandria, VA; granddaughter, Danielle Kincaid Ertel of Great Falls, VA; great granddaughter, Lauren Elizabeth Ertel of Great Falls, VA; and by many loving nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held at Tyree Fuenral Home on Wednesday, December 29, 2004, from 5:00 to 7:00 pm. Services will be on Thursday, December 30, 2004 at 1:00 pm at Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hill with Pastor Jerry Bush officiating. Burial will be at High Lawn Memorial Park, Oak Hill WV.
