Mary Bundy Dickerson

Mary Bundy Dickerson, of Oak Hill, WV died on Tuesday, March 28, 2006 at Presbyterian Hospital in Charlotte, NC. Born at Indian Creek, VA she was the daughter of the late Dr. Walter E. Bundy, Sr. and Margaret Louise Graham Bundy. She was a homemaker. Mrs. Dickerson was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Oak Hill, the Spade and Trowel Garden Club, Daughters of the American Revolution and the United Daughters of the Confederacy. Her husband, Dr. Leon A. Dickerson, Sr.; two sisters, Margaret Naomi Bundy and Jean Eller and one brother, Henry Carter Bundy preceded her in death. Surviving are two sons, Dr. Leon Dickerson, Jr. and wife, Peggy, of Charlotte, NC and John Bundy Dickerson of Royal Oak, Michigan; two daughters, Jean Dickerson Wagner and husband, Bob, of Canal Fulton, OH and Lynne Dickerson Bangert and husband, Tom,of Charlotte, NC; one brother, Dr. Walter E. Bundy, Jr. of Richmond, VA; brother-in-law, Dr. J.J. Eller of Marion, VA; eleven grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. A memorial service will be on Saturday, April 1, 2006 at 4:00 P.M. at the First Presbyterian Church, Oak Hill. There will be no visitation. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, Western North Carolina Chapter, 5950 Fairview Road, Suite 250, Charlotte, NC 28210.
