Mary Catherine Deal Forren

Our dearest Mary Catherine Deal Forren , 75, of Mount Hope, WV died on Saturday, May 17, 2014 at Bowers Hospice House in Beckley, WV after a short illness. Born August 16, 1938 at Oak Hill, WV she was the daughter of the late Raymond Earl and Pauline Owens Wyrick Deal of Glen Jean. Mary was baptized at and a member of the Mount Hope Christian Church. She was a graduate of Mount Hope High School. After working for a time at Macy's in New York she returned to West Virginia where she married her beloved husband, Luther. She was a devoted wife who loved her home and enjoyed spending time with her husband, sister and many nieces and nephews. She had a great love for children and her many pets. Her husband, Luther Harvey Forren; a brother, Kyle Everett Deal; stepson, Luther Dewayne Forren and her precious niece, Pamela Lynn Riner all preceded her in death. Survivors include her loving and devoted sister, Naomi E. Deal Coleman Reed; stepsons, Aaron Dale Forren of Fayetteville and Samuel Harvey Forren of Oak Hill; sister-in-law, Nancy Graham of Fredericksburg, VA; several step grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews which include her beloved niece, Denise Riner and husband, Sam and nephew, Donald Coleman and wife, Corey. Funeral service will be on Thursday, May 22, 2014 at 2:00 P.M. at Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hill in Oak Hill. with Minister Dennis Kinzer officiating. Burial will be at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Prosperity. Friends may call one hour prior to the service on Thursday at the funeral home. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
