Mary Sue Cook Revels

Our loving wife and mother, Mary Sue Cook Revels, 63, of Oak Hill, WV died on Wednesday, December 22, 2010 at Plateau Medical Center in Oak Hill, WV after a heroic battle against a high-grade glioblastoma multiforme of the spinal cord. Born February 11, 1947 at Oak Hill, WV she was the daughter of the late Paul Cook, Sr. and Sylvia Lee Rader Cook. A true Grizzly, she graduated from Nicholas County High School in Summersville where she was a majorette and went on to graduate from West Virginia University. She was a staunch Mountaineer. Mary Sue was a member of the Oak Hill Baptist Church and the Fitzgerald/Donnelly Circle. She was a member and past president of the Woodland Oaks Garden Club and a member of the Fayette Study Club and the Tuesday Bridge Club. She was a former buyer for the Diamond Department Store in Charleston and for Cook Department Store in Summersville and a homemaker. Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 31 years, Noel F. Revels, one daughter, Elizabeth Revels of Oak Hill, son, David Revels of Oak Hill and a brother, Paul Cook, Jr. and his wife, Patty of Summersville. Funeral services will be on Monday, December 27, 2010 at 1:00 P.M. at Oak Hill Baptist Church with Rev. Steve Malanowski officiating. Burial will be at Walker Memorial Cemetery in Summersville, WV Visitation will be held at Oak Hill Baptist Church on Sunday, December 26, 2010 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM and one hour prior to the service on Monday at the church.
