Mary Del Conte

Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Garrett Del Conte, age 82, of Hayward, CA died On Sunday, April 27, 2003, at Castro Valley Hospital, Hayward, CA following a short illness. Born December 3, 1920 at Concho, WV she was the daughter of the late Sidney and Jessie Lou Plumb Garrett. She was a Protestant. Mrs. Del Conte was a retired warehouse manager. She was a former resident of Oak Hill where she had attended area schools. Preceding her in death were three brothers, Albert, Marvin and Daniel Garrett and by three sisters, Doris, Helen and Margaret. Mrs. Del Conte is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, Jerry and Lynn Sheler, Gary and Sue Sheler and Anthony and Wanda Del Conte all of California. Also surviving are six sisters, Mildred Goode of Chelyan; Ruth Mullett and husband, Gene, of Riverside, CA; Emogene Price and husband, Irvin, of Ingram Branch; Betty Jamison and husband, Lacy, of Barberton, OH; Kay Holcomb and husband, Willard, of Tecumseh, Michigan; and Fay Qurrey and husband, Dempsey, of Wriston and by three brothers, Robert Garrett and wife, Ruby, of Oak Hill; David Garrett and wife, Janice, of Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin and Michael Garrett and wife, Cathy of Wriston; by 6 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Services were held on Thursday, May 1, 2003 at the Chapel of the Chimes Funeral Home in Hayward, CA with burial in the Chapel of the Chimes Memorial Park, Hayward, CA.
