Mary "Kathy" Kathryn (Coleman) McNeely

Mary "Kathy" Kathryn Coleman McNeely, 68, of Scarbro went home to walk the streets of gold with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, August 25, 2024, at the Bowers Hospice House in Beckley.

Born March 16, 1956, in Beckley, WV she was the daughter of the late Greene Coleman, Jr. and Della Irene Wriston Coleman.

Kathy was a homemaker; she loved the Lord first and foremost and then her family. She was a lifelong member of the Kilsyth Freewill Baptist Church since birth. Church meant a lot to Kathy, and she never missed Church on Sunday or a Sunday School class for over 38 plus years and was a youth group leader for over 20 plus years. She sang in a quartet with her husband the Young Gospel Lights. Graduating from Mount Hope High School in 1974 she loved her mighty mustangs. She was a Varsity cheerleader and Homecoming Queen. Kathy loved her family very much. She was the best wife, mother, grandmother, and sister on the planet. She loved watching her kids and grandkids playing sports as she followed them. In her leisure she enjoyed quilting, cross stitching, watching any type of sports especially her Washington Redskins and anyone who played against the Dallas Cowboys as she strongly disliked them. Kathy was a true Patriot as she loved her country, she also enjoyed camping, taking trips to the Amish Country with her family. She enjoyed her flowers in her Garden and feeding her birds. Kathy for every holiday only wanted bird seed to feed her birds. She was a friend to everyone even if she did not hear from you every day, she would do anything for anyone, even give them the shirt off of her back. She will be deeply missed.

Along with her parents she is preceded in death by sisters-in-law Barbara McNeely Pittman (Dickie) and Patricia Gestiwitz; and brother-in law, Darrell McNeely (Catherine),

Those left to cherish her wonderful memory include her loving husband of 48 years Randy McNeely; son, Patrick McNeely; daughter, Maranda Williams (Aaron); 3 grandchildren, Baleigh McNeely, Macy Williams, and Maddox Williams; 2 brothers, Ralph Coleman (Eudora) and Roger Pritt; her dog who she loved dearly, Yoder; brother-in-law Eddie McNeely (Teddie Ann); and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be 1:00 PM on Friday, August 30, 2024, at Kilsyth Freewill Baptist Church in Mount Hope with Pastor Dwayne Williams officiating. Burial will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens in Prosperity.

Visitation for friends will be from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM on Friday, August 30, 2024, at Kilsyth Freewill Baptist Church.
