Mary Etta Chaffin

Mary Etta Crowl Chaffin , 66, of Pax, WV died on Saturday, June 12, 2010 at home of her daughter, Belinda Cumberland in Manassas, VA. Born September 23, 1943 at United, WV she was the daughter of the late Willard and Kathryn Crowder Crowl. Mary was Canteen Operations Clerk for VA Medical Center in Beckley. She was a former member of the White Oak Chapter National Railroad Historical Society in Oak Hill and the Collis P. Huntington N.R.H.S. in Huntington. Her husband, Elmo Edwin Chaffin, Jr. daughter, Jennifer Ann Chaffin and one brother, Willard J. Crowl preceded her in death. Survivors include two daughters, Belinda Chaffin Cumberland and husband, Kevin of Manassas, VA and Cassie Chaffin Coulter and husband, Kevin of Beckley and two brothers, Charles Crowl of Fuquay-Varina, NC and Gary Crowl of Olympia, WA and one sister, Teresa Evans of Cross Lanes. Also surviving are eight grandchildren, Jamie, Jessica and Jacqueline Cumberland and Jordan, Cody, Reedy, Makenzi and Morgan Coulter and three great grandchildren, Noah, Evey and Kevin. Services will be on Friday, June 18, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. at Tyree Funeral Home in Oak Hill with Minister Keith Coulter, Jr. officiating. Burial will be at Memory Gardens in Madison, WV Visitation will be held at Tyree Funeral Home on Thursday, June 17, 2010 from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM.
