Mary Alice Blake

Mary Alice Baber Blake of Oak Hill, WV departed this life to be with her Lord on Thursday, May 22, 2008. She was born July 13, 1933 in Oak Hill, WV a daughter of the late John Melvin and Vivian Leona Canterbury Baber. Mrs. Blake was of the Baptist faith and was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her sister, Joann McAllister, a brother, John Baber and her husband, Carl H. Blake. She is survived by five children, Russell Roop of Oak Hill, Nancy Carr of Oak Hill, Cheryl Williams of Beckley, Carl Blake, II of Pinole, CA and Dee Blake of Flemington, WV and a brother, Russell Baber of Mesa, AZ. Also surviving are eight grandchildren, Michael Carr, Nicholas Carr, Heather Mills, Brandy Williams, Shelby Roop, Kelsey Huddleston, Quade Blake and Maura Blake and many great grandchildren. Mary Alice was blessed with many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Services will be on Monday, May 26, 2008 at 1:00 P.M. at Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hill with Rev. Robert Barley officiating. Entombment will be at High Lawn Memorial Park Mausoleum, Oak Hill WV. Visitation will be held at Tyree Funeral Home on Sunday, May 25, 2008 from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM.
