Marvin Waldo "Waddie" Vest , 77, of Oak Hill, WV died on Thursday, August 20, 2015 at Raleigh General Hospital in Beckley, WV.
Born November 17, 1937 at Kimberly, WV he was the son of the late Walter and Esta L. Jarrell Vest.
He was a retired surface miner.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Rachel Gale Adkins Vest and his companion of many years, Dixie Yates. Also preceded in death by a grandson, Patrick Scarbrough.
Survivors include two sons, Waltt L. Vest of Charleston and Mark D. Vest and wife, Tammy of Oak Hill; daughter, Tammy Tucker of Oak Hill; step daughter, Regina Yates of Mount Carbon; sister, Thelma Barker of Indiana; three grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and two step grandchildren.
Funeral services will be on Monday, August 24, 2015 at 1:00 P.M. at Tyree Funeral Home in Oak Hill with Sandra Hill officiating. Burial will be at Montgomery Memorial Park, London. Friends may call one hour prior to the service on Monday at the funeral home.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Tyree Funeral Home, 999 Jones Avenue, Oak Hill, WV 25901 to assist with funeral expenses.
