Marvin Gerald Stover , 82, of Hurricane, WV died on Thursday, August 23, 2018 at the home of his son.
Born October 14, 1935 at Beckley, WV he was the son of the late Roscoe and Mertie Gay Keffer Stover.
He was a retired helicopter mechanic for Boeing Air Craft and also retired from Union Carbide. Marvin served 9 years in the US Marine Corps during the Korean Conflict.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Christine Stover; son, Marvin Gerald Stover, Jr.; grandson, Robert Franklin Stover, Jr.; sister, Janette Stover; and brothers, Wetzell Stover and Wendell Stover.
Survivors include wife, Della Stover; sons, Robert Franklin Stover of Hurricane and Donald Dwayne Stover of Scott Depot; daughter, Pamela Louise Taylor of Scott Depot; step-son, Frank Donald Mansley of Coatesville, PA; sisters, Janice Crone of Gloucester, VA and Evelyn Holshouser of Hopewell, VA; seven grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Funeral Service will be 11:00 A.M. Monday, August 27, 2018 at Tyree Funeral Home in Oak hill with Pastor Loretta Taylor officiating. In Keeping with Marvins wishes he will be cremated following the service. Friends may call one hour prior to service.
