Marvin Randall “Randy” Smith, age 51, of Oak Hill, passed away on Friday, August 29, 2014 at Bowers Hospice House in Beckley.
Born February 12, 1963 in Oak Hill, he was the son of Leona E. Wheeler Smith Stanley of Fayetteville and the late Sherman R. Smith.
Randy was a mechanic/technician for Superior High Wall and a self employed mechanic. He was a member of the Mossy Living Word Church.
Survivors in addition to his mother include his wife, Leslie L. Partain Smith, his children, Lyndsey Milam and her husband Shane and their son Conrad of Fayetteville, Brad White and wife Ashley and their son to be Carson of Fayetteville, Ashley L. White of Asheville, NC, Casey McClung of Oak Hill.
Also surviving are three sisters, Carolyn Smith of Plant City, Florida, Peggy Dove of Murrells Inlet, SC, Pam Ellis of Oak Hill, his brother, Melvin Smith and wife Sue of Fayetteville. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, September 2, 2014 at the Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hill with Rev. Paul Basham officiating. Burial will follow in High Lawn Memorial Park, Oak Hill. Friends may call at the funeral home from 6-8 PM on Monday, September 1, 2014.
Friends and family will serve as pallbearers.
As a final tribute those who have old/antique cars are invited to accompany Randy to his final resting place.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family to help with medical and final expenses.
