Mark Lokant

Mark Warden Lokant , 51, of Fayetteville, WV died on Saturday, January 22, 2011 at his home. Born April 20, 1959 at Oak Hill, WV he was the son of the late Martha Carroll Warden Lokant and Carl Frederick Lokant, Jr. Mr. Lokant was a retired Operations Manager from Mountaineer Gas in Oak Hill with thirty-three years service. He was a 1977 graduate of Oak Hill High School and a former member of the Oak Hill Rotary Club. He loved NASCAR always cheering on his favorite driver, Dale Earnhardt, Jr. Mark is survived by his loving family which include his wife of 29 years, Jennifer Lynne Skidmore Lokant, one son, Christopher Mark Lokant and wife, Allison of Oak Hill, one daughter, Heather Anne Miavitz and husband, George of Oak Hill, a sister, Cynthia Lynn Lokant Burgess of Scarbro and his mother-in-law, Maggie Dixon. He is also survived by five grandchildren, George Taylor Miavitz, Brandon Alexander Miavitz, Jacob Thomas Miavitz, Timothy Daniel Garrison and Hayden Andrew Lokant all of Oak Hill, several nephews and nieces, and his much loved canine pal, Max. He will be greatly missed by his friends at Mountaineer Gas. Funeral services will be on Wednesday, January 26, 2011 at 1:00 P.M. at Tyree Funeral Home in Oak Hill with Rev. Joe Cuthbertson officiating. Burial will be at High Lawn Memorial Park, Oak Hill. Visitation will be held at Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hill on Tuesday, January 25, 2011 from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM.
