Marjorie Waugh Carper

August 6, 1922 — September 5, 2016

Marjorie Lee Waugh Carper , 94, of Kincaid, WV received her wings and went to be with the Lord on Monday, September 5, 2016, while surrounded in love by her family at her home.

Born August 06, 1922 at Montgomery, WV she was the daughter of the late John Wesley Waugh and Louise Marie Owens Waugh Lichliter.

Marjorie graduated from Montgomery High School. She then began working for C&P Telephone Company in Gauley Bridge - which was during World War II. She completed her working career retiring from Plateau Medical Center.

A member of the Kincaid First Church of God, Marjorie was blessed with the talent of playing the piano for the congregation for many years.

She will be remembered for her ease in frequent conversation , her contagious smile, and wonderful sense of humor. Throughout her life she maintained a sweet and simple demeanor that influenced the hearts of many, who even how are being changed by her witness of constant nurturing, love and faith. Her signature gift of joy, shown through her constant smiling, laughter, and joking around, will never be forgotten.

The family is deeply grateful for the outpouring of love, prayers, and support in many heart-felt forms - too many people to name individually, but including the staff of Hidden Valley and Hospice of Southern West Virginia; family, neighbors and friends either through prayer and/or visits and phone calls, and even random acts of kindness from total strangers who came in contact with her.

It is in dedication to her memory which will be carried on in the legacy of love which is now in each of us, the lives she formed and touched by her love. How fondly she will be remembered: Our Angel who lived, laughed and loved.

Marjorie was preceded in death by her first husband, Charles Belmont - who she said was the love her life and who so courageously gave his own life fighting for the freedom and rights of his country while serving in the United States Navy in the battle of Normandy aboard the USS Glennon 640. She was also preceded by her second husband, Kenneth Kincaid; son, Kenneth Kincaid, Jr.; third husband, Frank "Doodle" Carper; step-daughter, Debbie Carper; brother, Bob Waugh; sister-in-law, Sarah Peters; and nephew, Brian Carper.

Her surviving family members are numerous and include her son, Raymond Belmont and wife, Belinda, of Ingram Branch; stepsons, Frank "Fuzzy" Carper and wife, Chris, and Danny Carper all of Ohio; and brother-in-law, Denny Peters of Mississippi.

Also surviving are grandsons, Michael Belmont, Keith Belmont, Gary Belmont, and Doug Belmont all of Oak Hill, Dexter Thompson of Ingram Branch and Doug Kenney of Meadow Bridge; granddaughter, Cami Suzza and husband, Jack of Oak Hill; great grandchildren, Zachary Suzza, Jonathan Suzza, Nickolas Suzza, Kristin Belmont, Lyndsey Young, Destiny Belmont and fiance', Timothy Wayne Thomas; great-great grandchildren, Miley Waddell, Kailyn Jean Belmont, and Colton Allen Thomas; nephews, Michael Waugh, Johnny Waugh, Bobby Waugh, and Jimmy Carper; niece, Carolyn Waugh; a daughter of the heart, Barbara Cobb - who so unselfishly and graciously devoted herself as a companion and caregiver in assuring that Marjorie lived out her life to the fullest; and finally her fuzzy four-legged friend Jezzy "Baby" Carper.
