Margie Ann Sneed

Margie Ann Nichols Sneed , 90, of St. Albans, WV formerly of Oak Hill, WV died on Sunday, December 30, 2007 at her home. Born January 19, 1917 at Oak Hill, WV she was the daughter of the late Clarence Frederick and Dollie Sue Burgess Nichols. She was a member of the Jones Avenue First Church of God in Oak Hill. Margie was a former employee of George's Fashions and Oak Hill Finance and a former member of the Business and Professional Women's Club. The family expresses very special thanks to Margie's caregivers, Shari Hughes, Selena Rhodes and Glenda Thompson. Her husband Paul Sneed; two sisters, Mary Burgess and Mildred Burnette and four brothers, Ray Nichols, Ralph Nichols, Charles Nichols and Clarence "Jr." Nichols preceded her in death. Survivors include one daughter, Mary Ellen Adkins-Hughes of St. Albans, WV; four brothers, Donald Nichols and Ronald Nichols both of Oak Hill, Robert Nichols of Woodbridge, VA and Ernie Nichols of Baltimore, MD and one sister, Martha Longino of Shreveport, LA. Also surviving are her grandchildren, Beth Given of St. Albans, Benjamin Adkins of Pinch and Kelly Adkins of St. Albans, two great grandchildren, Garrett Given and Lauren Given both of St. Albans as well as many nieces and nephews. Services will be on Thursday, January 3, 2008 at 2:00 P.M. at Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hill with Rev. Ralph Shupe officiating. Burial will be at High Lawn Memorial Park, Oak Hill WV. Friends may call one hour prior to the service on Thursday at the funeral home.
