Margaret Louise Wetzel Mcvey

Margaret Louise Wetzel McVey, age 87 of Statesville, NC, formerly of Oak Hill, WV died on Thursday, June 9, 2011 at the home of her son Charles "Chuck" McVey of Statesville, NC. Born January 18, 1924 in Beckley, WV, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Thelma Broughman Wetzel. Margaret was a graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School and Beckley College. She was a former bookkeeper for Coca Cola Bottling in West Virginia. She was preceded in death by her husband Clarence William "Jim" McVey. Survivors in addition to her son, Charles "Chuck" McVey and his wife, Tonyia of Statesville, NC with who she made her home, are three grandchildren, Charles Casey McVey of Ohio, April Michelle Reavis of Stony Point, NC and Kellyn Nicole McVey of Statesville, NC. and three great grandchildren. Also surviving is her sister, Alma Wetzel Todd of Waldorf, MD Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, June 12, 2001 at the Tyree Funeral Home Chapel, Oak Hill with Rev. Joe Hoggard Burial will follow in High Lawn Memorial Park, Oak Hill. Friends may call at the funeral home one hour prior to services on Sunday, June 12, 2001.
