Margaret Louise Puckett Beirne

Margaret Louise Puckett Beirne, 86, was granted her angel wings on July 17, 2013. Her final days were spent surrounded by loving family and friends whose lives she touched so memorably. Margaret was born on May 22, 1927, a daughter of the late Charles and Hazel Puckett of Kilsyth, WV. She was a 1945 graduate of Mt. Hope High School and a Mustang, through and through. On January 1, 1947, she married Pete Beirne and together they shared fifty years before his passing in 1996. Margaret was a dedicated member of Calvary Baptist Church in Oak Hill. She had a very kind and gentle soul, a loving and generous heart, and was always giving to others. She leaves her loving memories to be cherished by her family and friends; her brothers and sisters, Jim Puckett and his wife Juanita Puckett of Chesterfield, VA, Bettie Puckett Day and her husband Pat Day, of Oak Hill, Lois Puckett Tyree and her husband Larry Tyree of Wake Forest, NC, Donald Puckett and Sarah “Jupy” Puckett of Charlotte, NC, and Sonja Puckett Lohmar of Raleigh, NC, and all of her loving nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her brothers, Cecil Everett Puckett and Charles “Buster” Puckett, and sister, Charlotte Puckett Bookman. Services will be held at Calvary Baptist Church, Oak Hill, WV on Tuesday morning, July 23, 2013 at 11:00 am. The burial will immediately follow at High Lawn Memorial Park. Friends and relatives are invited and may call at the Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hill on Monday, July 22, 2013 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. Her legacy will live on in those whose lives she touched and who are inspired to realize the goodness she saw in them. The world is a better place because of her presence and she will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
