Margaret M. (Montgomery) Boehly, age 95 of Berkeley Square, Hamilton, Ohio formerly of Mount Hope, WV crossed over to the Father’s House on Tuesday, December 25, 2007 at the Ft. Hamilton Vitas Unit. She was born on March 18, 1912 in Roseville, West Virginia to the late Robert Garfield and Pearl Frances (Vernon) Montgomery. Margaret was the second of ten children and is survived by a sister, Ella Walker of Mount Hope, WV; brother, Reverend Grant Montgomery and his wife, Ann of Hamilton, Ohio; many nieces and nephews, among them a beloved niece, Betty Ciccatell and her husband, Bud of Waterford, Ohio. She was preceded in death by four brothers, Russell, Abner, Virgil and Robert Montgomery (infant); three sisters, Clara Witt, Letty Suttle and Maxine Rhodes. Margaret graduated from Mount Hope High School in 1930. She enjoyed a long, professional career in various Federal Government agencies. She was appointed a post and served with the U.S. Occupational forces in Germany after WWII. Her last position was as Chief Librarian for the Navy Department doing submarine acoustical research. Margaret was a life-long member of the Assemblies of God Church, a devout, caring, compassionate person. A “second Mom” to her brothers and sisters and was deeply loved by her family and many friends. She was an avid student of the Bible, a lover of great books, and a pursuer of education her entire life. She loved the state of West Virginia where she grew up and the mountain streams and all of God’s nature. Funeral service will be at 2:00 PM Sunday, December 30, 2007 at the Tyree Funeral Home in Mount Hope, WV with burial to follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Beckley, WV. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services at the funeral home.
