Margaret Marchio

Margaret Dower Marchio, 91, of Mount Hope, WV died on Wednesday, September 07, 2005 at her home. Born April 11, 1914 at Stone Cliff, WV she was the daughter of the late John and Effie Baker Dower. She was employed for the New River Company more than 20 years. Mrs. Marchio was a member of the Mount Hope Baptist Temple, Mount Hope, WV. She was a graduate of Mount Hope High School and attended McKendree State Hospital School of Nursing and Butte Business College, Butte, Montana. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Her two brothers, John Dower and Robert Dower and one sister, Isabell D. Oschlager preceded her in death. Survivors include husband, Provie Marchio; one son, Donald R. Marchio and wife, Jamnong, of Hampton, VA; four grandchildren, Tom, John, Mary and JoAnn and six great grandchildren. Visitation will be held at Tyree Funeral Home, Mount Hope on Friday, September 9, 2005, from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM. Services will be on Saturday, September 10, 2005, at 11:00 A.M. at Tyree Funeral Home, Mount Hope with Rev. Sam Vance and Rev. David McCoy officiating. Burial will be at High Lawn Memorial Park, Oak Hill WV. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be made to the Hospice of Southern West Virginia, PO Box 1472, Beckley WV 25802.
