Margaret J. Broughman

Margaret Josephine Broughman, 84, of Oak Hill, WV died on Friday, August 07, 2009 at Fayette Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Fayetteville, WV. Born May 23, 1925 at Oak Hill, WV she was the daughter of the late Harry St. George and Martha Josephine Harrah Broughman. She was a retired cashier for Kroger of Oak Hill with over 40 years service. Miss Broughman was a member of the Oak Hill First Presbyterian Church and the Ladies Church Circle. As the last surviving member of her immediate family, four brothers, Harry, Bill, Seibert and Hugh Broughman and a sister, Helen Broughman preceded her in death. Survivors include a nephew, Stephen Broughman and wife, Cathy of Oak Hill; two nieces, Linda Carol Higgins of Virginia and Wanda Dewitt of Illinois and several great nieces and nephews. Graveside rites and committal service will be on Monday, August 10, 2009 at 2:00 P.M. at High Lawn Memorial Park in Oak Hill with Dr. Kenneth Atkins officiating. Burial will follow. There will be no visitation. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the First Presbyterian Church, 250 Central Avenue, Oak Hill WV 25901.
