Due to unforeseen circumstances, the service for Mr. Slay has been changed to Monday, October 10, 2011. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Marcellus Slay , 82 , of Jersey City, NJ formerly of Red Star, WV died on Saturday, October 01, 2011 in Jersey City, NJ. Born at Red Star, WV he was the son of the late Ollie and Lydia Ghant Slay. He was retired from AMTrak. His wife, Flora Slay, daughter, Carolyn Jean Williams and sons, Ambis Slay, Marcellus Slay,Jr., and Daniel Webster preceded him in death. Survivors include his five children, Gilbert "Ponchie" Slay, Jessie (Susan) Slay, Edison Slay, Floria "Punkin" (Robert) Ryals and Tonia (John) Daniels Graveside rites and committal service will be on Monday, October 10, 2011 at 1:00 P.M. at Hilltop Cemetery on Rt 19 between Glen Jean and Oak Hill with Minister Hodari Williams officiating.
