Marcella Linda Toney Manning , 87, of Scarbro, WV died on Thursday, January 03, 2019 at Roanoke Memorial Hospital in Roanoke, VA.
Born March 07, 1931 at Rt 1 Scarbro, WV she was the daughter of the late William J. and Anna Patrick Toney.
Marcella was a supporter of the Dothan Missionary Baptist Church . She and her husband Melvin gave water rights to the Dothan PSD and all they ask for was an appreciation plaque in dad's name.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin E. Manning; brothers, Thomas L. Toney and Larry B. Toney; and sisters, Martha Rose Toney and Glenda G. Adkins.
Survivors include sons, Stephen E. (Charlotte) Manning of Troutville, VA and Michael L. (Merilene) Manning of Beaver; daughter, Kristen G. (Dennis) Thompson of Scarbro; brothers and sisters-in-law, Helen and Robert Preast, Donald Manning, Virgil Manning and Ross Manning;sister, Nancy (Stanley) McMillion of Salem, VA; 9 grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Services will be on Monday, January 7, 2019 at 1:00 P.M. at Tyree Funeral Home in Oak Hill with Rev. Lum Toney officiating. Burial will be at Peters Cemetery, Dothan.
Visitation will be held at Tyree Funeral Home on Sunday, January 6, 2019 from 3:00 pm to 5:00 p.
Grandsons and nephews will serve as pallbearers.
