Marceline Foster Saye

Marceline Foster Saye, 89, of Oak Hill passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 10, 2023 at her daughter’s home in Prince George, VA.

Born October 30, 1933 in Kincaid, WV.  She was the daughter of the late Abner and Try Phosey Eades Foster.  

Marceline retired from working in the insurance industry for many years.  She was a devout Christian who worshipped at Fellowship Memorial Baptist Church in Oak Hill.  She served as former church secretary and was a member of the church choir.  In her leisure, she enjoyed her yard work by planting flowers, gardening and earned Yard of the Month Club on two different occasions.  Reading was a passion of hers but most importantly she enjoyed spending time with her family.  

She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 56 years, William Arnold “Bill” Saye, a grandson William Matthew Saye, along with 9 brothers and 3 sisters.

Those left to cherish her wonderful memory include her four children, Karen Saye Story (Michael), William Jay Saye (Betty),

Michael Thomas Saye, and Danny Joe Saye (Kalley); 13 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandson along with 4 new great great grandchildren expected by end of 2023; and her remaining sister, Phosey Grace Dolin.

Funeral Service will be held at 12:00 noon on Friday, June 16, 2023 at Tyree Funeral Home in Oak Hill.  Burial will follow at Highlawn Memorial Park in Oak Hill. 

Visitation for friends will be one hour prior to service at the funeral home.
