Surrounded by his loving family, Manuel Suzza Jr., 81, of Oak Hill, WV went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, December 12, 2007 at Veterans Administration Hospital in Beckley, WV following a long illness. Born February 03, 1926 at Williamson, WV he was the son of the late Manuel and Hazel Stepp Suzza. He was a retired machinist for Siegler Mining. Manuel had been a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose Oak Hill Lodge #1664 since 1965 and had served as governor on five separate occasions. He enjoyed bowling and was a member of the PBA. A World War II US Army veteran, he served in the 232nd Infantry Regiment. He was preceded in death by his brother, Ernest Suzza and a sister, Mamie Fields Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 42 years, Ruth Beatrice Romage Suzza; two sons, Robert L. Tucker and wife, Saundra of Oak Hill and Manuel Jack Suzza and wife Cami of Oak Hill; four daughters, Donna Thomas and husband, Kenneth of Charleston, Ruth Ann Holt and husband, John E. of Oak Hill, Patricia Nutter and husband, Larry of Oak Hill and Winnie Jo Hall of Kentucky and a step-brother, Bill Hall of Ormond Beach, FL. He is also survived by his loving grandchildren, Zachary, Jonathan, Nickolas, Denise, Ronnie, Wade, Wayne, Robin, Robert, Billy, Christopher, Johnny Brown, Teresa, Artie, Johnny Tucker, Kim, Tara and Leah and twenty six great-grandchildren, Ashley, Hannah, Jeremy, Katie, Stevie, Josh, D.J. Dillon, Patrick Logan, Micah, Caden, Lexi, Andrew, Nicholas, Nate, Emma, Austin, Kolton, Peyton, Christopher II, Kollin, Kelsie, Seth, Shane, and Carrie Jo. Services will be on Sunday, December 16, 2007 at 2:00 P.M. at Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hill with Rev. Winston O'Neal officiating. Mr. Suzza will be cremated following the service. Friends may call one hour prior to the service Sunday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the American Diabetes Association, Memorial and Honor, PO Box 2680, North Canton, OH 44720.
