Maeola Blevins Gardner, 72, of Oak Hill, WV died on Friday morning , November 10, 2006 at Plateau Medical Center in Oak Hill, WV following a brief illness. Born July 22, 1934 at Killarney, WV she was the daughter of the late John Harvey Blevins and Nellie Viola (Blevins) Blevins Coleman. Maeloa was a 1952 graduate of Fayetteville High School. She was a former resident of Cincinnati, OH, Dayton, OH and Flemingsburg, KY. She had been employed by Baldwin Piano in Cincinnati, OH, Chrysler Motor in Dayton, OH, A.O. Smith in Mt. Sterling, KY, Pioneer Trace Nursing Home in Flemingsburg, KY as well as Golden Age Rest Home in Oak HIll, WV. She was also a loving dedicated care giver to her mother, Nellie Blevins Coleman. Two sisters, Sylvia Ash and Debbie Bailey and one brother, Roger Dale Blevins preceded her in death. Survivors include two sons, James A. "Jim" Gardner, Sr. and wife, Beth of Oak Hill, WV and Gary Gardner of Oak Hill, WV; daughter, Peggy Sturdivant and husband, Jerry of Cynthiana, KY; three brothers, Burford Blevins and wife, Eloise of Lerona, WV, Harvey Blevins and wife, Patsy of Pataskala, OH and David Blevins and friend, Cindy of Oak Hill, WV and seven sisters, Frieda Herrman and husband, Chuck of Cincinnati, OH, Sue Weist of Oak Hill, WV, Jean Adams of Cincinnati, OH, Vesta Blevins of Elkhart, IN, Patricia Elder and husband, Donald "Butch" of Oak Hill, WV, Linda McCallister and husband, Dallas of Covington, VA and Barbara Louisos and husband, Tom of Oak Hill, WV. She is also survived by grandchildren Lucas and Jessica Gardner of Oak Hill, WV, Chase Calvert of Fayetteville, WV, Gary Wayne Gardner, II of Oak Hill, WV and Kala Kane of Cynthiana, KY and numerous nieces and nephews. Graveside rites and committal service will be on Sunday, November 12, 2006 at 3:00 P.M. at High Lawn Memorial Park Mausoleum in Oak Hill with Pastor Jerry Bush of athe Oak Hill Church of the Nazarene officiating. Entombment will follow.
