Mae Eloise Massey Stone, age 81, of Glen Jean, formerly of Mount Hope, passed away on Friday, August 5, 2016 at Bowers Hospice House in Beckley.
Born May 31, 1935 at Glenhuddy, WV, she was the daughter of John and Clara Scarbro Massey.
Mae was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith. She was preceded in death by her husband, Teddy Stone; by a son, David Franklin; by a daughter, Marsha Wiley; by a stepdaughter, Janie Morris, by two sisters, Wanda Lou Jenkins and Annie Belma Sumpter and by two brothers, Roland Massey, Sr. and Jerry John Massey.
Surviving are her daughter, Lisa Williams and her husband Fred of Glen Jean, two sons, Teddy Ray Stone of Nebraska and Jackie Stone of Canton, Ohio, a sister Ida Pearl Manning and husband Charles of Scarbro. Also surviving are nine grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and her beloved pets, Callie and Baby Girl.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 PM Monday, August 8, 2016 at the Tyree Funeral Home, Mount Hope with Rev. David Sneed officiating. Burial will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens at Prosperity.
Friends may call at the funeral home one hour prior to services on Monday.
Chris Bolen, Jake McGuffin, Corey Comer, Frank Comer, Brian Szuch and Greg Szuch will serve as pallbearers.
