Madge L. Willis Evans

Madge Lea Willis Evans, 87, of Oak Hill, WV died on Wednesday, March 17, 2010 at her home. Born July 22, 1922 at Mount Hope, WV she was the daughter of the late Robert and Martha Elkins Willis. Mrs. Evans was a member of the Church of God of Prophecy at Pea Ridge and was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hubert Evans, sons, Jimmy Evans and Bobby Joe Evans and infant son, Johnny Weis and as the last surviving member of her immediate family by five brothers and four sisters. Survivors include two sons, Earlen Weis and wife, Pat of Gloucester, VA and Russell Weis and wife, Linda of Fayetteville and two daughters, Alice Sutphin and husband, Dan of Oak Hill and Anna Evans and husband, Tom of Oak Hill. Seventeen grandchildren and twenty-three great grandchildren also survive her. Services will be on Saturday, March 20, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. at the Church of God of Prophecy at Pea Ridge with Rev. Debbie Minor and Rev. James Elmore officiating. Burial will be at Gethsemane Memorial Gardens, Oak Hill. Visitation will be held at Tyree Funeral Home on Friday, March 19, 2010 from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM and one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the church. Dan Sutphin, Greg Sutphin, Anita Sutphin, Tom Evans, Aimee Huddleston and Beth Tincher will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Abagail and Bailea Huddleston.
