Mack Harlan Smith

Mr. Mack Harlan Smith, 82, of Mt. Airy, MD formerly of Oak Hill, WV died on Monday July 16, 2012 at his home. Born on November 3, 1929 in Oak Hill, WV he was the son of the late Roby Grant and Gola McLain Smith. He was a retired Montgomery County, MD Police Officer. Mr. Smith was a 1947 graduate of Oak Hill High School, he was a member of the Lakewood Church of God in Clarksburg, MD and the masonic lodge. A brother, Gerald Steven Smith preceded him in death. He was the loving husband of Ruth K. Nester Smith, the father of Mark A. Smith of Germantown, MD. and Teresa Black and husband Roger of Mt. Airy, MD and brother of Barbara Gail Smith of Oak Hill, WV. He is also survived by sister-in-law, Starlette Nester Smith and several cousins. Visitation was held on Thursday July 19,2012 at the Stauffer Funeral Home, Mt. Airy, MD, from 6-9pm. Funeral services were held on Friday July 20, at the Lakewood Church of God in Clarksburg, MD beginning at 11:00am. With Pastor Randy Dennis officiating. Interment was in Pine Grove Cemetery, Mt.
