Mabel C. Arrington

Mabel C. Dixon Arrington , 74, of Oak Hill, WV died on Monday, December 08, 2008 at Plateau Medical Center in Oak Hill, WV. Born August 15, 1934 at Alderson, WV she was the daughter of the late Charles Arthur and Lucy Katherine Bryant Dixon. She was a retired cashier for Aide's Discount Store in Oak Hill and a homemaker. Mrs. Arrington was of the Baptist faith. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Louis Arrington, Sr. on June 16, 1990. Survivors include her four children, Tommy Lewis Arrington and fiancee' Pat Rhodes of Oak Hill, Debrah June Arrington of Oak Hill, Timmie Ray Arrington of Oak Hill and Charles Arthur Arrington and wife, Elizabeth Y. of Oak Hill; four brothers, Luther Dixon of California, Glen Bryant of Columbus, OH, Roy Jack Dixon of Oak Hill and Harold Dixon of Oak Hill and three sisters, Mae Hobbs of Chicago, Ill., Virginia Canterbury of Oak Hill and Louise Mediema of Florida. Also surviving are five grandchildren, five great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Services will be on Thursday, December 11, 2008 at 2:00 P.M. at Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hill with Rev. Marie Underwood officiating. Burial will be at Gethsemane Memorial Gardens, Oak Hill WV. Friends may call one hour prior to the service on Thursday at the funeral home.
