Lucille Thresa Lowe Wolford, 88, of Gatewood, died Saturday, December 27, 2008 at Plateau Medical Center, Oak Hill. Born February 17, 1920 in Logan County, WV, she was a daughter of the late George and Pearl Criche Lowe. She was a homemaker and a member of the Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Oak Hill. She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter J. Wolford; two brothers, Moss Lowe and George Lowe, Jr.; one sister, Della Newland. Survivors include her daughter, Sharon Lynn Humphreys and husband, Shelby of Gatewood; a special niece, Cheryl Ball and her husband, Jimmy of Portage, IN; three grandchildren, John David Humphreys of Beaver, Regina Ball and Becky Ball Cubbison, both of Portage, IN; seven great grandchildren, Megan Nichols Humphreys, Brittany Ball, Kayla Ball, Shawna Ball, Zack Cubbison and Jacob Cubbison; one brother, George Lowe of Chapmanville, WV; two sisters, Sarah Lowe, Rt. 1, Fayetteville, and Sylvia Browning of Man, WV. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 AM Tuesday at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Oak Hill with Father Paul Yuenger officiating. Burial will follow at High Lawn Memorial Park, Oak Hill.
