Lucille Black Sneddon, 86, of Fayetteville, W.Va., died Wednesday, September 4, 2013 at Bowers Hospice House, Beckley. Born February 4, 1927 at Amigo, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Charles Lee and Edna Thompson Black. Her husband, Alexander Sneddon, preceded her in death in 2011. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Delmar and Charles Black. Mrs. Sneddon was a retired telephone operator from A.T.&T. Bell of Cincinnati, Ohio and a homemaker. She was a member of Mt. Hope Christian Church, Mt Hope, W.Va. Survivors include a son, Scott Sneddon and wife Sandra of Ellijay, Ga.; a daughter, Jean Price of Kennesaw, Ga.; four grandchildren, John R. and Michael A. Haders, Heather J. Frederick and Erin Foremonte; nine great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; a brother, Robert “Bob” Black and wife Mary of Oak Hill and sister Marian Thorne and husband James of Oak Hill. Funeral service will be Saturday, September 7, 2013 at 2 p.m. At Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hill with Minister Dennis Kinzer officiating. Entombment will follow at High Lawn Memorial Park Mausoleum, Oak Hill. Friends may call at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, September 6, 2013.
