Louise King

Maude Louise Oxley King, 84, of Oak Hill, WV died on Wednesday, January 31, 2007 at Plateau Medical Center in Oak Hill, WV. Born July 31, 1922 at Powellton, WV she was the daughter of the late Wyatt and Mattie Smith Oxley. Mrs. King was of the Methodist faith and a homemaker. Two sons, Larry F. King and David W. "Butch" King preceded her in death. Survivors include her husband of 69 years, Frederick Basil King; one son, Ron King and wife, Pat of Oak Hill, WV; one daughter, Peggy Boyd and husband, Robert "Hook" of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; three brothers, Tom Oxley of Charleston, SC, Donald Oxley of Orange Park, FL and Phil Oxley of Chesapeake, VA; four sisters, Reba Elkins of Beckley, WV; Juanita Harrah of Beckley, WV, Shirley Grose of Beckley, WV and Bette Jo Sturgill of Beltsville, MD; and by eight grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Visitation will be held at Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hill on Friday, February 2, 2007, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Services will be on Saturday, February 3, 2007 at 1:00 P.M. at Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hill with Rev. David White officiating. Entombment will be at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens Mausoleum, Prosperity WV. Memorial donations may be made to the Shriners Hospital for Crippled Children, 1900 Richmond Road, Lexington KY 40502.
