Lottie L. Arthur

Lottie Lee Yancey Arthur, 95, of Beaver, WV died on Wednesday, February 04, 2009 at Bowers Hospice House in Beckley, WV. Born September 17, 1913 at Hinton, WV she was the daughter of the late Charles Edgar and Mintie Ella Bennett Yancey. Mrs. Arthur was a member of the Beckley Regular Baptist Church and a former member of the Bradley Free Will Baptist Church. She was a homemaker. Her husband Raymond A. Arthur preceded her in death on December 28, 1984. Four brothers and three sisters also preceded her. Survivors include one daughter, Lois Weatherford of Waynesboro, VA; two sons, Charles Arthur and wife, Shelva of Bradley and David Arthur and wife, Billie of Crab Orchard and one sister, Evelyn Phillips of Portsmouth, VA. Also surviving are nine grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren. Services will be on Saturday, February 7, 2009 at 1:00 P.M. at the Bradley Free Will Baptist Church with Rev. Daniel Legg and Rev. James Johnson officiating. Burial will be at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Prosperity WV. Visitation will be held at Tyree Funeral Home on Friday, February 6, 2009 from 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
